VNC Viewer: Question box "SelectObject to CompatibleDC failed"
VNC Viewer: Question box opens while trying to connect to another computer that has VNC services installed on it. You get the box that comes up and says; "SelectObject to CompatibleDC failed".

This error box comes up because the computer that you are trying to connect to has hibernation and/or the windows firewall or a firewall is on blocking the VNC port 5900.
Open the port through your software firewall and make sure that hibernation is turned off.
Uncheck 'Enable hibernation" if it is checked.
