The Logon User Interface Failed

User Interface Failure

I have seen this happen when the computer is improperly shutdown or the electricity was turned off and the computer was shut down abruptly.
When the computer is turned back on, the computer boots up as normal, but just after the Windows splash screen you see a box with the error below.

The Logon User Interface DLL C:\Windows\SYSTEM32\Wireless\WirelessG...failed to load.
Contact your system administrator to replace the DLL, or restore the original DLL. Only giving you the option to "Restart" the computer.

This typically is a corrupted registry key that needs to be fixed or replaced. The easiest fix is to run the file below.

This handy utility checks for the correct GINA value in the Registry and will allow you to restore it, if its incorrect.
The program will tell you if repairs are needed or not.

Instructions

  • Log into your computer in SAFE MODE
  • Unzip the the file if not done on another PC already
  • Double click the icon and the program will start, it takes just moments for this program to fix the problem
  • Once the fix is complete, reboot the computer
