"VMware Bridge Protocol" is most likely missing from your physical network adapter properties.

Do you have more that one physical network adapter installed in your host?
If so, you may want to turn off automatic bridging on the "Automatic Bridging" tab and on the Host Virtual Network Mapping" tab select the physical network adapter that you want to use in the Bridged configuration in the dropdown menu for vmnet0.

If you only have one physical network adapter and you still have trouble installing, you may want to make sure that you are using a local Admin account and any firewall/Internet Security/Anti-Virus software is disabled or uninstalled.
